How to Calculate SSC CGL Negative Marking?
Formula:
Final Score = (Correct Answers × Marks) – (Wrong Answers × Negative Marks)
Example – Tier 1 & Tier 2 (Paper 2):
- Attempted Questions: 85
- Wrong Answers: 20
- Correct Answers: 85 – 20 = 65
- Marks from Correct: 65 × 2 = 130
- Negative Mark: 20 × 0.5 = 10
- Final Score = 130 – 10 = 120
Example – Tier 2 (Paper 1):
- Attempted: 75
- Wrong: 15
- Correct: 60
- Correct Marks: 60 × 3 = 180
- Deduction: 15 × 1 = 15
- Final Score = 180 – 15 = 165
